What was actually measured
An LC-MS/MS study identified several active B12 forms in one cultivated Wolffia globosa strain. No pseudo-B12 was detected in the samples analysed.
This is scientifically notable, but the result remains tied to the strain, cultivation conditions and samples examined.
Where the vitamin may come from
More recent work suggests that microorganisms associated with Wolffia may play a central part in B12 formation. The plant itself should therefore not simply be described as producing the vitamin.
What the finding does not prove
The research is neither personal dietary advice nor evidence of a fixed B12 content in future products. That would require repeated product-specific testing and a review of permitted claims.
